The Runes were introduced to me on Samhain many many years ago when I impulsively attended an ancestor's honoring event in downtown Portland, Oregon. Ingrid Kincaid, also known as The Rune Woman, spoke not just of our ancestors but also of the Runes. That day was a nexus for me. The Runes were awakened in my being and my curiosity was driven. I explored the Runes through the teachings and emerging friendship with Ingrid over the years. I have taken many directions since then, explored many studies and had many experiences that included explorations in my "dreams beyond dreams," the underworld, the subconsciousness, magick, states of mind and hypnosis, "metaphysics", and most anything pertaining to the power of the mind. .... always with the Runes whispering to me in the background. 

 

It is time for me to start connecting the strings of what I know to be true for me and continue my studies and practices with the Runes at the center of the web. I do not feel drawn to the North traditions or pantheon, (and least not yet) but I do feel particularly  drawn to the number "3", the underworld, the spider, the chaos serpent (Tiamat in particular) and the exploration of the Weavers. The Nornir.
