Handcrafted Prairie Witch Doll~ Made by Kristie
I love dolls but seldom take the time to make them. This is the 2nd witch doll I am offering this month. As with the other one, this one too is especially unique as she has an amazing head and face carved from an apple; her eyes are black eyed peas. She is primarily created using fabrics tied into knots and braids and bound around 3 sticks I gathered here at my home. Her magical adornments are hand stitched on. Only 2 delicate drops of glue were used in her creation.
She hangs on a wall perfectly as that is actually how she is designed but she can also be positioned as seen in the images, to stand and look just has magical. She has an easy to find loop on the back side of her body for hanging.
For her to stand instead of being placed on a wall, simply place her in a weighted bud size like vase or narrow jar (I will provide an appropriate sized bottle so you have both options).
If desired you can shorten her height by trimming her dress panels. She measures about 16 inches in length and carries a stick and plant twig bundle from my yard.
She was my first witch that I created to offer for purchase. I worked on her with mom a few weeks ago and my mother and I infused alot of magick, play, laughs and love into her. Although I created her, I did not carve her face, a very dear special older woman that is no longer carving created this particular head (I'm am still working on my apple carving techniques but have some drying that will be ready soon!).
She will also come with a little card telling her story.
