Using Active Imagination to
Open Dialogue with Your Unconscious
I've been deep into the understanding of the mind since my early 20's, everything from how the mind splinters from trauma, how repetition and programs govern our mind, how beliefs are implanted, and how the mind is influenced, trained and even manipulated with little to no detection. I could go on and on...
My interest in the occult and magik is an alchemical marriage to understanding the mind. Since AI ("alien eye" perhaps an ancient species, all consuming, and hive based) has become so prevalent, I have been giving more and more thought to how important imagination is to the Human. I've also been recognizing how it is something that has been taken for granted and that it is crucial now more than ever to not just honor it but to culture and grow it within our selves. "It's just your imagination" and "it's just a dream" are two examples of how we have minimized the value and power of both.
Great creativity and imagination pull from a place that we seldom talk
about and few can even conceive of.
I have been heavy into the importance of imagination and deepening methods to access my liminal space with better recall and to increase my lucid dreaming experiences... Active Imagination is playful and valuable. As an observer of the imagination we can remember what would normally be lost and forgotten upon awaking.
The Unconscious communicates to us through symbols, are you listening?
and what happens when the "phone number/ coordinates" to that connection
is forgotten, hidden or lost.....?
I could talk or write about this for hours and days, here today I just wanted to share with you that using "active imagination"... letting it free flow in your mind without judgement or erasure and just observing.... can and will introduce you to your own answers, your own oracle, your own gods & goddesses, and your other self... your unconscious, (integrating both the innie and the outie if you watch the series Severance, for instance). Often times this is also referred to as your own Daemon. Great book on this is noted below.
What we don't understand about how our mind works, makes us
vulnerable to those that do.
What we learn about how our mind works, gives us incredible
tools to become "beyond human".
I haven't touched on the power of inducing and performing ceremony and ritual through the active imagination realm... but I'm sure you get the idea.
just a few EXCELLENT RESOURCES
